Played in New York, we will be seeing likely the coldest SB in NFL history, dipping below the coldest 39-degree Super Bowl down in Tulane Stadium.
Seahawks and Broncos do battle to determine the World Champion of professional American football.
What to expect:
- Physicality of the Seahawks' secondary on the Broncos' wide receivers, especially on Wes Welker.
- A heavy dose of beast mode #24, Marshawn Lynch.
- A heavy dose of blitzes from the Seahawks' defense.
- Plenty of "Omaha"s from Peyton Manning and plenty of screen plays from the Broncos.
- A number of draw plays straight up the middle by the Broncos' rush offense.
- Plenty of Cover Two by the Broncos' defense.
Key match-up:
- Expect the Seahawks to put Richard Sherman to cover each receiver at least eight times. He's the best cover-corner, and he's just as big as Eric Decker. He's physical enough to handle Wes Welker and we'll see how he holds up against 6'5" Demaryius Thomas and 6'6" Julius Thomas.
I expect a high-scoring affair where the Broncos rush offense will play well, and Peyton Manning to have arguably his best playoff game. Wilson and Lynch will lead a balanced offense for Seattle, but I think the Broncos eek out a close, but high-scoring victory.
1) Denver 40, 1) Seattle 38
